TO-822
A medium-sized header for higher power devices. The TO-822 header is an enlarged modification of the TO-8 header, designed to address applications where the standard TO-8 header’s mounting area is insufficient. These headers commonly use Kovar or CRS for their bases and pins, coated with nickel and gold. KIMT offers thermoelectric sub-assemblies on TO-822 headers with options for 12 or 14 pins. Its mounting surface is typically 12.0×12.0 mm, compatible with a wide range of thermoelectric coolers (TECs). KIMT offers various solutions including both single-stage and multi-stage TECs. The TO-822 header is also a good fit for pyramidal multi-stage TECs, especially three and four-stage designs, where the bottom (hot side) ceramic is typically larger than the top.
