TO-46

The TO-46 header is a very miniature TO-style package with a small mounting area and higher thermal resistance at the sub-mount base. It is suitable for use with VCSELs, sensors and other miniature electronic devices. Typically, the base and pins of a TO-46 header are made from Kovar and coated with nickel and gold. KIMT provides thermoelectric sub-assemblies on TO-46 headers, configured with either 5 or 6 pins. The mounting surface is typically 1.2×1.9 mm, which is sufficient for miniature thermoelectric coolers (TECs). KIMT offers solutions with miniature single-stage TECs.
